Onsite Training

Our Sage onsite training caters for users at all levels: beginner, intermediate and advanced. Prior to your training session, you can speak directly with the trainer to plan the course content, discuss any special areas of emphasis and your desired outcome.

CRM to manage your prospects, customers and business opportunities, and a fully integrated e-marketing platform starting at 10 000 emails per month with drip-marketing and email interaction reporting.

Choose to purchase as a self-hosted solution if you'd like to install the software on your own machines, or privately sourced hosted server. Alternatively purchase as a cloud solution where your data is hosted on secure Swiftpage servers (UK based) and access to Act! is through a web browser or mobile device. Act! is an easy to use, off-the-shelf CRM system, but there is no substitute for having experienced Act! technicians/trainers assist in getting you started. Please make sure you have run through the considerations outlined below.

Deployment and Implementation

Have you thought about how, and from where your users will access Act!? Will everyone be office based? Do you have people working from home or out and about on the road? Do you need web access? If you need web access will you have web server?


We can remotely, or onsite, assist you with any of the following:
  • Installation: Server, client PCs and if required configure web access
  • User setup, email and calendar integration
  • Database customisation - add the fields you need to hold your data and design the user layouts

Act! Premium v21 System Requirements

All minimum system requirements are based on a single-user environment (one Windows client user accessing a local database or one web client user accessing a hosted database), and do not represent requirements for optimum performance of your Act! implementation. Recommended server system requirements are for environments of more than one user. Customer registration and activation are required and you must purchase one license of Act! per user. Your system must meet the minimum requirements to be eligible for technical support.

Act! will not install directly on Apple machines. Options are:

  • Use Act! through Chrome for MAC - If all users have MACs, you might consider Act! Premium Cloud
  • Host Act! and use remote desktop connection from your MAC
  • Install Apple Boot Camp or software such as Parallels, then install Windows which will allows you to install Act!

SQL Server Edition Recommendations

SQL Express limits processor use to a single CPU but allowing multiple cores, memory used by SQL to 1 GB, and the size of your data file to 10GB. For this reason, we recommend SQL Standard for any deployment over 20 users or 5 GB in size, allowing for growth. Individual performance may vary based on actual database size, hardware variations, and product usage.

1. Higher specification PCs and networks will improve performance, and may be recommended for certain Operating System choices. Consult Microsoft documentation for more details.
2. Additional disk space may be required as local database size increases.
3. SSL Secured Mail Services are not supported.
4. Anti-Virus products are recommended but should be disabled during install and re-enabled afterwards. As with any Anti-Virus product, some configuration may be required for Act! to perform properly.
5. Server Core installations of Windows Server 2008 R2 are not supported.
6. Only for supported for upgrades, not new/clean installations of Act!.
