Business Development Executive (Software Solutions)

The role:

The position is for a Business Development executive whose prime responsibility includes providing solutions for:

  • Sage 50 and 200 Accounts software and services
  • Advantage Services add-ons
  • Bespoke software solutions
  • Exact software and services

Contract type - Full time

Duration - Permanent

Start date - ASAP

Location - Sutton Coldfield (Head Office)

Duties Include:

  • Provide software solutions and services to small and medium sized businesses
  • Execute sales transactions; participate in negotiations and close deals
  • Work closely with customers over short and long length transactions. Building rapport and helping to solve organisations problems
  • Timely and accurate business reporting
  • Monitor and manage customer satisfaction
  • Develop clients for Account Management: cross selling support contracts and other services
  • Working with the Marketing Department to promote our services

Essential skills:

  • Degree or equivalent. ideally 2:1 or above
  • A strong and passionate interest in Business
  • A desire to achieve and progress in work and as a person
  • Hard work and determination

The successful candidate must be able to converse at a basic technical level to nontechnical business people and discuss business advantages, be motivated, driven and prepared to take initiative, with a can and will do attitude you must have effective communication skills and be well presented. You will act as the first point of contact for our business, with full responsibility for introducing the company and opening business accounts. Training on our software and on-going support will be provided.

Desirable skills:

  • Experience providing customers with solution oriented products or services
  • Experience in cooperative selling through alternate channels and the ability to monitor and manage customer satisfaction
  • Strong negotiation and closing skills
