The Supplier Code Changer/Merger solution allows you to change your Sage supplier codes and merge multiple supplier records together, which is not possible within Sage Accounts itself.   • Merge two or more Departments into another Department
  • Changes fields throughout Sage, in existing Transactions, Invoices, Orders, Customer/Supplier Records & other areas
  • Combines details for Departments making it easier to consolidate several Departmental analyses into one following a reshuffle

It is important to note that;

  • We recommend a backup before making any changes
  • Any Departments you are merging in to MUST already exist in Sage Accounts
  • Everyone MUST be logged out of Sage Accounts to run this program
  • Every time you change/merge, you MUST restart the Sage Data Service on ALL PCs running Sage
  • The Department Merger add-on does not work when using “advanced nominal and department in-depth” budgeting; it does not update actual totals spent in a given department

The Product Code Changer solution allows you to change your Sage product account data in a way that is not possible within Sage Accounts itself. We understand the frustration finance teams have with evolving your system to meet current business needs, so our software has been designed to allow you do this whilst retaining full transaction history including sales and purchase order postings, recurring items and accruals.

Features:
  • Change a Product Code into a different Product Code - as long as it doesn’t already exist
  • Change it globally within Sage, e.g., on;
    • Invoices
    • Sales Orders
    • Purchase Orders
    • BOM on other products
    • Price Lists
In order to change a Product Code;
  • The new Codes must not already exist
  • The new Codes must match the Sage convention of Product Codes

After use the Data Service MUST be restarted, along with ALL other Sage Data Services connected to the data from other machines.

    Can I change/merge codes from my own computer?
    It is not advised to change codes from client (networked user) machines. We would always reccommend you change/merge your product codes on the machine holding the Sage 50 Accounts data.



    Can I change multiple codes at the same time?
    Yes, you can make multiple code changes in one go.



    Can I merge multiple codes at the same time?
    No, you can only merge one code into another code at any one time. If you have multiple codes you'd like to merge into the same code, you simply repeat the merge process for each of the codes in turn until you've merged all the codes you need to.



    Sage Remote Data Access is used, can I still use the code changers/mergers?
    We do not recommend using our products if you are using Sage Remote Data Access (formerly known as 'Sage Drive'). However, there is a process for how you can use the changer/mergers, please speak to us for advice.



  • Code Changer/Merger System Requirements

    Sage Software
    Our Code Changers/Mergers work with Sage 50 Accounts (Essentials, Standard, Plus and Professional), version 18 (2012) or higher.



    Server
    The Productivity Suite application (which houses the Code Changers/Mergers) needs to be installed on the machine holding the Sage 50 Accounts data. Assuming this hosting machine meets the system requirements for the version of Sage that is being used, then theThe Productivity Suite will also be supported to run on that machine. It is your responsibility to check these requirements. If you need assistance, please contact us.



    Sage Remote Access
    We do not recommend using our products if you are using Sage Remote Data Access (formerly known as 'Sage Drive'). Please speak to us for advice.
